Biography
Ashley Moore
hails from Richmond, California, and has spent
most of her life in the San Francisco bay area.
Her interest in music began at the tender age of
four when, after hearing the Beatles for the
first time, decided music was what she wanted to
do. She has spent all of her life pursuing that
goal.
She moved from percussion to guitar in
seventh grade and began writing and recording
original songs. Very active in various high
school music activities, she was fortunate to
perform with award winning vocal ensembles,
drama departments, jazz and marching bands at
state wide competitions. She then attended
Berklee College of Music in Boston,
Massachusetts where she studied jazz harmony
while majoring in Music Production and
Engineering.
Following her stint at Berklee, she toured
parts of the country doing live sound
engineering before landing back in the bay area
in 1991 as the production manager for a night
club featuring national touring artists.
Simultaneously, she began recording and
producing records in earnest, trying to help
promising bands reach their potential at the
various recording studios where she worked.
Throughout this time she was also writing and
performing original music around the bay area.
Then, in 1996, she opened her own studio and has
been fiercely independent ever since.
Today she is working in a variety of
different capacities. As a composer,
performer, producer and engineer, her work
can be heard on radio, television, theater and
film. While her production schedule remains busy
and fulfilling, she occasionally finds time to
work on or perform music from her forth coming
CD, titled "Shape Shifting." In 2001, she
launched the internationally acclaimed
Transcendence Gospel Choir, a ground breaking
music ministry.
